Watersound West Beach is a coastal, resort community located on the Gulf of Mexico between Destin and Panama City Beach, Florida.  We are in south Walton County, on Scenic County Road 30A, three miles east of Seaside, Florida (where The Truman Show was filmed).

Traditional seaside communities have inspired our neighborhood.  We have five different home districts, each one more unique that the other.  Several parks, a zero entry swimming pool, a lake and miles of boardwalks thread through our community.   Drive if you must, but walking and bicycles are the best way to enjoy this experience.  We have 199 homes that are distinctive by their design, elevation and color palette.

Take a swim in our pool, watch the turtles in our lake, snap a forever picture of your family or just stop and listen.  Our private boardwalks will transport you to the beach through the Deer Lake State Park with breathtaking sunsets.

Majestic pine and oak trees, marshes, a state park and coastal dune lakes surround us.  Our dune lakes are rare and found only in four other countries.   This marine ecosystem is so unique that the Gulf of Mexico is in charge; the water will switch from salt, to brackish to fresh as the dune lakes open and close.

And the beaches…. they are pristine with sugar white sand, outdone only by the turquoise water.   They are among the finest in the world.
